Empowering Young Community Members

Empowering Young Community Members

Sunday, June 25, commenced the first of five sessions in a summer workshop aimed at empowering members from the Ethiopian Jewish community aged 18 to 30. The first lecture was delivered by Gao Mangista, a motivational speaker. These meetings have two main objectives; to inspire young community members to realize their own potential, and grow as individuals in a process of self-discovery and awareness, as well as to provide them with tools such as building self-confidence and working on time management and decision making to turn their dreams in to reality. 24 members attended the first session, who were thirsty for knowledge and eager to engage in this transformative experience. This workshop is taking place at the Magenza House, a branch of the Neve Yosef Community Center (NYCC) in Neve Paz, and is held in cooperation with the Ethiopian Absorption Center.
