About Neve Yosef
Who We Are
The Neve Yosef Community Center was established in 1987 and is professionally staffed with an interdisciplinary and multifaceted team of instructors, social workers and counselors who serve the social, educational and cultural needs of the mixed ethnic populations of Haifa in general and eastern Haifa in particular, including Jews, Arabs, Christians and new immigrants from Ethiopia and the former Soviet Union.
The mission of the Neve Yosef Community Center is to enhance the quality of life for people living in the eastern Haifa communities in Israel through individual and family community programs thereby empowering children, youth, and families by promoting opportunities for healthy emotional, social, educational, physical and cognitive growth.
Strengthening individuals to act out of a personal and communal responsibility for the advancement of the multicultural community in which they live and as a part of the wider Israeli society. In addition, including residents in processes of planning and executing content, programs and activities at the Center and in the community as a basic condition for processes of personal and community empowerment while developing solutions for reducing gaps.
